Academics Philosophy
Edify Schools actively foster a culture of scholarly thinking in young minds by offering a comprehensive, challenging, and enriching curriculum. The innovative curriculum up to grade V and the implementation of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) across all classes establish a robust foundation in academic disciplines. Edify encourages a broad exposure to liberal arts and provides opportunities through co-curricular activities, clubs, and other innovative programs to pursue individual passions.
As students advance through the grades, the program becomes increasingly flexible, offering a diverse range of electives beyond the core curriculum. Teachers facilitate challenging classroom experiences that aim to inspire curiosity, foster a breadth of interest, encourage self-expression, and instill joy and aesthetic sensibility. With limited class sizes, students actively participate in discussions, collaborate creatively to solve problems, effectively communicate ideas, and learn from one another. This setting also enables teachers to provide individual attention to each child.
The Edify program is both challenging and nurturing, creating an environment that fosters growth. Students are actively encouraged to cultivate close, personal relationships with their teachers. The school promotes a cooperative atmosphere, emphasizing a shared commitment to the pursuit of learning and personal development.
Beyond the classroom, additional support is readily available, acting as a catalyst within the Edify culture. Teachers acknowledge the individual needs and learning styles of their students. The philosophy revolves around the belief that students thrive when they can trust in the kindness and understanding of their teachers, and when the classroom serves as a secure space for all questions and ideas.
Edify is dedicated to building a robust community of learners, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Pedagogy
Inquiry serves as the driving force and primary pedagogical approach that sets Edify classrooms apart, making them distinctive and unique. The inquiry-based method empowers students to assume responsibility and ownership of their learning. It emphasizes the integration of curiosity and conversation as integral components of the learning process. Instead of merely providing information, teachers are tasked with intriguing students by prompting questions like why, what, and how. The impetus to discover, learn, explore, and make an impact is ignited by the power of inquiry.
Inquiry facilitates personalized conceptual exploration tailored to the needs of each student, contrasting with a traditional instructional model focused solely on information delivery. Within the learning community at Edify, knowledge is not perceived as static but rather as an ever-evolving, collaborative process that demands original thinking and research.
Embracing the significance of student-centered learning, the process involves an array of teaching and content approaches. These range from traditional lectures and discussions to various experiential methods and teaching strategies, including QAXP, RAFT, Reciprocal Teaching, JIGSAW, Think Pair & Share, Four Corners, and more.
Faculty development programs and professional workshops provide our facilitators with the additional advantage needed to embrace the best teaching practices and stay abreast of changes in pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning.
